An award-winning author of five books on military and political subjects, he has also written extensively for various national and international publications on such topics as the Falkland Islands' sovereignty question, decentralization of the Soviet Air Force command and control structure, Persian Gulf pipeline construction to circumvent the Strait of Hormuz bottleneck, and the human interface with rapidly changing technologies.
Several of his works have been translated into French, German and Spanish.
